    Big FPS Fluctuation

Okay, I got msyelf a new video card for my computer, a 6600gt. I know it can run medium. But when i tried it on my computer, it gives me horrible framerates. It ranges from 25 all the way to 87. Is there anyway to stabilize the frames so it wont give me a hard time? I tried lowering some of the settings from medium to low, didnt really help.

    Heres my comp's spec
    P4 3.0GHz @ 3.3
    ASUS P4P800 Mobo
    2x512MB Samsung DDR400 Dual Channel
    eVGA 6600GT 128MB AGP

This is the problem with such a big varied environment. I don't think there is a way to stbilize the FPS, but you can increase your low FPS by getting a better video card. Then if you upgrade your card you will need another gig of ram. BF2 is a b*tch.

try leaving ur settings all at low then gradually increasing 2-3 at a time until u get them stabilized.

One thing you can try is to delete everything inside the My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache folder. It will force BF2 to redo the shader optimations. I did that once when FPS suddenly sucked on my 7800GT. BF2 will also do this when you change graphic settings but it's worth a shot to let BF2 do it more than once.
