Will my computer run BF2 on full?

I'm about to build a new computer and I wanted to know how well BF2 will run at full with 4xAA and 16xAF

My system specs will be this:

Athlon 64 3500+ socket 939
Corsair TWINX 1GB 3200C2 DDR400
XpertVision 7800GT 256MB 256bit
Seagate 160GB SATAII HDD

I was reading on a website that the 7800GT could handle full specs with 4xAA and 16xAF but want to get some first hand info from people with similar specs and who play the game a lot.

Also, if anyone has any suggestions on different hardware or advice please let me know.

If you can afford it, it would be very helpfull for your gaming experience, if you have 2GB of ram in overall. :)

2GB is needed for SMOOTH play in BF2.

Also, I would knock down to a 3200+ just to save you some money. There is not much difference between the 3200 and 3500, only if you want the 11x MULTI.

3200 are easy to overclock too.

Set textures to medium, and it shouldn't stutter with 1GB. You won't notice too much of a difference.

I concur. Drop down to an A64 3200+, overclock it to at least 2.4ghz without any extra cooling needed, and put the money you save towards an extra 1GB RAM.

Either way make sure it's a venice. The 11x multi is nice though if you have good ram.

You need that extra ram either way. CPU is fine, esp if you play other games...

These guys are right, you will need 2Gb of ram to get the full use of that video card. If not you will have alot of stuttering on maps especially if you have special forces.

i have almost an identical system see sig

1gb is enough if you do two things

turn english vo only on
set textures to meduim

im on all high other than textures 1280x960 2aa

dont get a 3200 unless you plan to overclock it
if you get 2gb your system will destroy bf2
