What should I get for Christmas? 1gig stick of ram or P4 3.0ghz w/ HT? I kinda want the processor, but whats your idea?

Hmm.. depending on the celeron and your mobo.. you might be able to overclock that celery with additional cooling. the only difference is the Pentium has a bigger L2 cache and HT.

oh and if you get the P4 3.0 get a northwood chip. they have lower temps and shorter pipes than the prescott.

Go with the Pent, 2 gig won't help loading if your processor sucks, and you won't need it for textures if your vid card isn't powerful enough.

Turned texts on high once in SP was little laggy, but I think it was because of the bots. I normally play low everything and texts on medium with 30 fps or so.
