would a 380 watt power supply be enough for a 7800gt, AMD 64 3200 and 1.5 gigs of ram?

I would doubt it. Thats pushing it I think.

    What PSU is it?

    I would reccomend 400W-500W.

    Thanks

What's the amps on the 12V line? Total watts don't mean much.

He meant what brand, not what it stands for.

You should have at least 26A on the 12V rail, or dual 12V rails. Get a trusted brand - use the sticky.

i suggest "Thermaltake" i have one it have 650watt
so i dont have to split one power cable on several devices
i have on every device separete power cable

              Boo at thermaltake.

I think a FSP Bluestorm 500W will suit you fine. Its a great psu, and very cheap.

I doubt it will run a system a couple of years from now but it will run the setup the thread starter chose with ease.

              Good luck.

Make sure you buy more than enough, as i have a 350 watt, and it cant even keep the twelve volt rail above 11 random reboots, when at full load. im picking up a ultra 500 watt psu soon. :) should pix that, and let me overclock this mild beast. p4 3.0 ghz x800xl.

That's just a terrible rail, it has nothing to do with the overall wattage. Ultra doesn't make the greatest PSUs, and neither does thermaltake. I'd stay away from both of them.

The sticky is up there for a reason...

well if the ultra is gonna provide better rails than my really old sparkle(3-4 years) ill be happy, especially since it comes with a case to.

There's a big difference between better and good.
