    audio fx force feedback issues

I just got this headset, and I am worried that it is not getting power from the usb cable. I like to listen to my games pretty loud, and I have heard that this headset has no troublt offering this. My headset doesn't really go very loud at all, and I have not seen the leds on the sides of the headphones even light up. I have the system volume all the way up as well as the volume knob on the cable. When I connected the usb cable, it did not say "new hardware detected". What is going on?

edit: Yes, I am definately not getting power from the usb cable, becaue when I unplug only the usb cable, it acts the same way.

well some USB ports are not powered, they only power up when windows detects a device.so u COULD try buying a external powered usb hun this may help im not to sure.

A headphone port should give anough power to in theroy to deathen you. So either get your hearing checked or check how powerful the speakers in the headset really are by finding out there power out put ETC
