Is there a performance difference between 1 gig DDR and 1 gig DDR2 SDRAM ram?

The ddr2 ram has a different type of slot, it's faster (mhz wise anyway), usually has looser timings, and can only be used on intel systems (right now).

If you buy the "same" MHz of each, you should see a difference.

It has DDR2 ram, while an alieware pc with same total cost, but with amd 3200+, 6800 card, DDR 1 gig, 120 hd.

What are you talking about? My friend bought the Toshiba Laptop. Im comparing it to this latop.

Change memory to 1 gig and hd to 120, and its the same price.Except with a better video card.

There is no real difference yet, except that amd systems can only use ddr and new intel systems can only use ddr2.

Very little difference. I have DDR2 in my intel system there isn't much if any difference.
