I have the z-board and love playing BF2 and SF with it. You can remap night vision and gas mask to nearby keys.

zboard is the only "true" gaming kb. Best kb i brought so far. I use it to fly without the mouse and i own everyone. This is one awesome kb and never had any problems with it.

I did get the bf 2 keyset for free when i brought.

If you are looking for a good gaming kb get this one. it does take a little time to get used to typing on it but now it don't ever remove the gaming keysets.

        zboard+bf2 keyset+razor copperhead= PURE OWNAGE.

I've got a Zboard myself, and am extremely happy with it!
          Here's a shot of the BF2-keyset:

The main reason I bought it was because after playing extremely long sessions on regular keyboards, my middle finger started hurting. With the ZBoard, the keys are placed in an ergonomical fashion, and I haven't felt any pain since I upgraded :)
It's got some extra functions that I hadn't seen on a regular keyboard, especially 'Range select squad' and 'Select multi squad' was new to me.

The best function though, compared to a regular keyboard, is that you can press many keys simultaneously. With a standard keyboard, when holding 2-3 keys at the same time, while pressing another one, your computer wont register the keypress, and instead you'll hear a short 'beep'. With the ZBoard you can keep 9 keys pressed at the same time, wihtout confusing the keyboard or your PC!

There's one drawback though.. It does take some time getting used to. It took me about 5-6 days before I really got used to it, and I can't count how many times I've jumped out of a heli at sea because I wanted to check my map - but pressed the wrong key :p

As for the Optimus keyboard, that looks brilliant! Can't wait for an intelligent keyboard like that.

I don't supposed you read the text about the Optimus keyboard ? Thats one of the top of top of range keyboards. Costing round 800 $ for me.
Where are you taking this from? The keyboard isn't in production, it's not even finished - they estimate an arrival in 2006 some time. Also, I'm not sure how you came up with $800, the designers claim it'll cost less than a good mobile phone.

I'm curious as to how many people are actually using the ZBoard. When playing BF2, it seems like most people are using a keyboard like this: link

I don't have the link nor remember where I got it, I think it was weebl and bob forums, and they had a thread about. Then one day a person posted a link to a online news page like BBC. i think it may have been the register or something similar and they had done a news report on the optimus saying it was around 800 $. I know where you're coming from as on the site it hasn't released new information.

Did a google saerch: found this:

Hey Paratrooper, how do remap your z-board. I'm still getting use to mine and like it, but still have the parachute problem and SF problem. Any help would be appreciated.
