No, a mixture of medium and low, maybe a little high, but not all high.

6600GT and 6800 vanilla are the same in terms of performance.

But get the 6800 because there are chances of unlocking the extra pipes and more overclocking headroom.

you can't unlock the pci express 6800.

6800nu will out perform the 6600gt. There is no question about that.

get another 1gig of ram and oc the hell out of your card. Should be able to get most setting on high but not on high res or a lot of aa.

768Mb 333mhz ddr Ram
Radeon 9500Pro

i dont want to upgrade my ehole system so iam thinking
on buying 6800GT Agp , my question is will i be able to run the game on MAX setting ,and still get playable FPS @ 1024*768?
and does the cpu will be a bottle neck?
currently i have all setting on medium,texture filter on high ,lights on low,no shadows and no dynamic light...
fps are 45+ and in places with lots of action and croweded 16-30fps.

the 6800gt will help, but not to max settings. when running high textures, that takes quite a bit. i would recommend mostly high on the settings but keep textures on medium and use 4AA. you are going to be close to your max ram usage, but i understand not wanting to upgrade that also, in fact there will be times when you do hit the pagefile.

take a look at my bf2 ram usage article i created in my sig, it is currently just showing 1280x960, but i will probably be updating it soon to reflect 1024x768. my gpu, the x800xtpe, is approximately in between a 6800gt and 6800ultra so you should get an idea. and this recommendation would be for bf2 vanilla, the expansion pack takes more ram...

also, if you are buying a 6800gt used, you may also look for a x800xl, x800xt or x800xtpe since they are all pretty close, but you may find a better dean when you have 4 different cards to look for than just one.

assuming 2GB? what cpu? personally i would go a higher gpu with a decent cpu unless you are using machine for other items where a higher cpu would benefit you more, like encoding video or serious photoshopping... but anyhing over 1280x960 set up the way i have it in my sig article is going to need more than 1GB and with a 6600GT i think you would be gpu limited to go farther than what i have listed for settings
