Yuck...I agree with you about MS. I don't think I'm ever going back to their mice.

Ever since they got out of the game controller hardware biz, I won't buy from them.

I have tons of stuff they no longer support Gamepad, 2 Sidewinder Precision Joysticks, Force Feedback Precision Wheel, GameVoice...

      Re: mouse?

      I'd recommend Logitech's MX-518 or G5 laser mice.

I've got the MX-518 myself, and the ability to change mouse sensitivity in the split of a second is extremely useful in a game like BF2. One click when you jump in a tank, and you've got a fast and precise turret rotation speed. One click when you're sniper and you've got a slow, steady, deadly aim.

I haven't tried the G5 yet, but it should be better than the MX518 - both peoples opinions and different reviews backs this up. It's got the same sensitivity-on-the-fly system as the 518, plus you can change its weight easily for maximum comfort.

For maximum performance I'd also recommend the Icemat, a mousepad made of glass and teflon. It gives an amazing movement and stability - and is so precise you wont even believe it :)
