    I'd go with a 3000 since money is a big issue with your build. Also since your doing it now, look for a PCI-e mobo.

        im not really doing it right now just looking up stuff, anyways is a amd 3000 any good? i mean will it suite all the new modern games, bf2 etc...
        is a amd 3000 better then a pentium 4 3 gighrtz?

          Yeah it's a great processor. It's what I had before I upgraded to this one.

                thanks so much, but hey, i was looking at ebay and they have amd 3200 barebones nice cases, motherboard with all the right slots and stuff for 270.. is that a good deal or shud sitll just go with new egg

                  I'd still just go with newegg, their customer service is the best. If you get some bad parts newegg's return process is hassle free, whereas with e-bay you never know how returns will go if necessary. To me the peice of mind is worth a couple extra dollars.

                            You're gonna need a socket 939 processor, and I'd use the onboard sound that the mobo has. You still need a psu, and here's a much better hd.

                                ugh i donno if i can afford a comp then, i only have 600.$

                                can sum1 plz design me a comp on newegg 600 and under, suitble decently for battlefield 2 (battlefield much be included in the 600$)
