More RAM

I have 1GB (2x512MB) and I want to go to 2 gigs. I have a set of ram here but its not from the same company but all the stast match. Can I do this? Will having 4x512MB cause a problem??

No 4x512 is not going to cause any problems, but it would be best if you could get the exact same RAM, that will stop any problems you might have, as that is the most common problem with it, having miss-matched RAM.

does your motherboard have 4 memory slots? does your mother board support this memory?

some people hasve problems with memory because they mix different type, speeds, ect of memory.

try to get memory that is the same as the other memory that you have in your computer.
