Right now I have 1024 MB DDR2-533 SDRAM for my computer. I dont want to buy ram from dell because they have high prices. So If I buy from newegg I would just get a whole pack of 2x1GB sticks so I know it would work. Any ideas on what to get?

you should have 4 slots for ram. Just buy 2 more 512mb to get to 2 gbs. Pretty easy to match ram and dell does use good ram if you just want to get that. -

Yea Dells RAM is good quality, but if you want to get it cheper, then just make sure its the same type. So many people just go out and buy any RAM, so do a search for the same type of RAM you have and see if you can get it any cheaper.Comment
