The semprons are slower, usually only have 256l of L2 cache, are only available as a s754 and are cheap.

800x600 all low? Hardly. If you tweak it good enough, and even OC it a bit, you can get 100% view, "Ultra High" geometry, "Ultra High" texture filtering, low dynamic lighting + shadows, medium everything else at 800x600 75hz, with 4xAA with around 40fps no problem.

Might be practically un-noticably slower on your card, though, as mine is a 9600 AIW Pro, which is the first time in history that an AIW got higher benchmarks than the standard Pro card.

Yep, also the AMD 64 3100+ is a 64 bit processor, so you can run Windows in 64 bit mode.

Theoretically, yes, but i wouldnt count on it, the majority of roblems people have with RAM is because they dont uy the same type when the upgrade. However if you are putting 266 and 400 Mhz RAm together the 400Mhz RAM will run at 266Mhz.

As others have said you should be able to run it quite well, my brother Has the same Gfx card and a slightly lower spec AMD processor with a 1GB he runs on Med settings, you should be able to aswell, if not try taking Lighting down to low.

EDIT= I run on Med Settings with a res of 1024 x 768, so you should be able to run roughly on the same maybe not with such a high res. I'm not sure.

IMO, you'll run at the low-end of the Medium spectrum if you want the same framerates. Anyone with an Nvidia card can set their settings to max and claim that they run at high settings, but their framerates will be somewhere in the vicinity of 10fps if they have a low-end card. To be truthful, you card is meant to run at low settings, but no one is keeping you from running at medium.
