Depends on the desk's surface. I use an X-ray mouse pad. It costs a little bit, but it's nice. Try putting down a magazine or something else. Heck try a few different surfaces to see if there's any change.

My Mx518 will change its base sensitivity in game. Like i will get in a Tank and press the (+) button on the mouse and the mouse will freez for 2 seconds and will return to use in a lower sensitivity setting. I have to unplug it to get it to return to normal. Can anyone help me???

try changing your mousepad. I run my mx512 on just a blank sheet of white paper taped to my table, works great.

Maybe the surface they are on. I have an MX1000 and on deep grain tables, it seemed to move by its self. I got a mouse pad and its all fine now.
