Screwed up screen while playing BF2..

Alright, I log on to BF2, play for a few minutes, then the moniter goes to hell and I get something like this. Now, this happens with all of my games, but after a while of messing around on the game it usually goes back to normal. It's a problem I've learned to deal with. Only on BF2 it doesn't go back to normal, maybe it's too much too handle. But then, my computer has all the specs and reqs for playing the game, as well as the others, so it should work fine. Anybody have any idea what my problem is? The moniter? Graphics/video card? Any help greatly appreciated.

Please list your specs, and have you updated to the latest graphic driver for ur graphic card?

Sounds like your graphics card might be overheating, have you tried maybe adding a fan or two to increase the air circulating around your case?

Other stuffs- AMD Athlon(tm) XP 3200+
2.20 GHz, 512 MB of RAM


So everything should work..but it doesn't. I only have 1 or 2 fans, so I guess it is overheating.

you could try looking inside the case at the card and cleaning the heatsink & fans, maybe reseating it. then uninstall the drivers and run a third party reg cleaner to remove all ati files and then install the latest drivers.

I still have the problem somewhat, and I was wondering if I put some memory sinks in, would that help?

i think your comps needs a major clean out. As if i dont clean out my comp my Graphics goes mad (only in bad instances of not cleaning it). Insert a different card to see if it fixes it. Or try the above as you havnt told us if youve done it.
