    help me out please

Ok, these are my specs (had trouble figuring this out):

Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.00 GHZ
    1 gb of ram
    GE Force FX 5900
    Soundmax integraded audio (or something)

Recently on bf2 (even on all low settings) I've been playing at 30-60 fps until it crashes eventually to desktop. I know it's not my computers fault right? I should probably reinstall windows, hu?

Another question I have is.. I have recently decided to invest my money in upgrading as opposed to xbox 360. I have about $700, I want to put a lot of that into my computer. I want to play high-end games (bf2, cod2, etc) at high settings with aa and all that. what should I buy? More ram? Better video card? I'm decently computer savy.

So, I need all you computer smarties to help me out! I don't know that much.

I say keep saving and just build yourself a new computer, it wouldn't be worth it to upgrade.

New PC, for gaming i suggest an AMD CPU, a 3000+ minimal, and a 6600GT (at least) with AT LEAST 1 gig of RAM, 1.5-2 if you can. This will get you onto all high settings... anything more and youll just get better and better game play... lol.. :)

Get a new video card and you will be able to play at medium settings with no issues. Something like a 6600 GT 256mb.

            Just upgrade your graphics card.
            My specs.

            P4 3.0 Ghz
            1 GB ram
            6600 GT 128 mb pciex16

I can run most settings on high and some on medium. 40 + fps :)

what card should i get? I want a really good one but i don't need the best. Another thing, I hate my case and want to get a new one, would it be difficult to move everything from one to another?

I think we should aim higher for the graphics card, try to get either a 6800gt or ultra, and get at least another gig of ram, and you should be set.

                  Re: help me out please

Get whatever you can afford that is AGP format. If you get too good of a card then you will have to upgrade to 2Gb of ram which is why I suggested a 6600 GT 256. If you get anything like a X800 XL, or 6800GT I would also recommend more ram.

As for changing cases to me it's the most difficult part of the computer build. You will have to disconnect everything and port it over. Then you will have to reconnect everything. I hate to change cases.

Your video card plugs into your motherbard via an AGP slot. There are also PCIexpress cards which you don't have. Just make sure whatever card you get says has AGP in the description.

Then you have to look other places, I suggest zipzoomfly, mwave, and monarch computers.

For you, I'd recommend getting some help to change a case.
