I'd just drop it down to 4xaa, and just raise the resolution if you can.

Well, then just drop it down to 4x, that's certainly gonna be smoother.

Well, I doubt it'd the memory. but thats certainly where the second card comes in handy.

King:Just so you know, nvidia cards only do AA 2x,4x,or 8x. If they could do 6x, the 7800gt would prob score higher than your 850.

Why the hell do you need 8xAA when playing BF2?

Yeah, if you're playing on 1280x1024, after 4xaa or somewhere around there, there is no difference, as the higher number of pixels make up for the lack of AA.

I have tried 8x AA on my system and it works fine, only in some case the FPS drops a bit to 35-40FPS , then I lowered to 4x and FPS is never below 50 (most of the time 80-100) and you almost can't se the diference, realy 4x or 8x it looks about the same, only some realy small details are a bit better, this at 1240*1024 res.

                          system is

                          4000+ running at 2.6
                          7800GTX running at 490/1350
                          2 Gig of ram.

FYI, resolution, AA and some other stuff are completely vid card, but your lower FPS could have something to do with your CPU who can't keep up

Get the newest driver. my 6800nu 256mb runs it on high with 8xaa. You should have no problem with that.

if you got the latest. You cpu can't keep up.
