By the way, does a CPU count that much in BF2? Could I use a P4 3.4GHZ almost as good as the AMD Athlon 64 4000+?

I dunno about the CPU, my guess is no, AMD tends to be better.

Maxed out. A CPU makes quite a bit of difference if you've got the videocard to go with it.

A 4000+ would kill a 3.4Ghz Pentium 4...

Yea, he should donate his current one to the Blak_Pheonix_MB foundation, helping people (like me) to get good computers.. ahahahaha...

But seriousally.. all high! :) and iin regards to the CPU, a 4000+ would beat a P4 4.0.. (in gaming) so a P3.4 would get slammed hands down. :p

I think the Opteron 180 is the best on the market. I don't know why everone praises the single core FX 57 when it overclocks poorly on air and it's stock speeds can be reached by the lowliest of A64's and Opterons.

I've owned both an AMD FX 53, and FX 55, and I can honestly say it wasn't worth it even for the deal I got at the time. Stear clear of the FX series unless you like to pointlessly waste money.

Because you gotta rationalize (to at least yourself) that you got a great deal buy spending 1k on a proc. In my defence, when I got my x2 it was the fastest dual core proc on the market, and that's what I wanted.
