Usually its under "DRAM Configurations" which might be in some other sub-folder, lol. Have you looked all over the BIOS? Its usually somewhere where you can change the RAM speed. So it might say "Set the Memory speed to; DDR500/DDR400/DDR333/DDR266/DDR200/etc..." Or it might be displayed as a ratio like 6:5 (or 5:6) which would be DDR333, or 3:2 (or 2:3) which would be DDR266.

MIne is wierd, it only goes up to 200 (mhz supposedly) and the closest to DDR266 ratio is the 133 (mhz) which is like 2:03 (yes, it said 03, not 3 in the bios) is 133 the right devider. I'm guessing so, as it goes up to 200, so i guess you would double it to get the actual speed.

Yes thats the DDR266 divider. 133 = DDR266, 166 = DDR333mhz, 200 = DDR400mhz.

BUmp, need more suggestions on what memory to buy. PC4000 with looser timings vs. PC3200 with tight timings (2-2-2-5).

This is the current ram to get. Expect overclocks from 250-270mhz @ 3-3-3-7, and it's very cheap for those timings. If I needed ram I would be all over this deal.

Good ram, but way too expensive for my budget, my budget is at MAXIMUM 160 bucks. Plus, i don't think i need 2gb of ram, i play BF2 maxed out with only 1 gb now. I'll just probably buy a 1gb stick and upgrade when i actually need to.

I would choose the first ram. Tight timing PC3200 will reach PC4000 speeds usually. My second choice if you wanted the PC4000 would be the OCZ.

Let me guess, for your first choice you chose it because it was way cheaper (like 130 total for 2 stix) and it had good timings, and you chose the OCZ as your second choice as it had better timings than the rest of the PC4000 memory. Do you have suggestions outside of what i have already posted?

I only buy ram on the brainpower PCB. Not only do these have great timings at stock, but people are hitting 600mhz when they loosen them up. Read the reviews.

I recommend the OCZ Gold Series over the others in that list. You'll get excellent performance from those.

The G.Skill that Wreck posted is better though (they use TCCDs Wreck) as G.Skill is the highest overclocking RAM like...ever...

I think it's a type of manufacturing process, but I'm not sure. Either that or it's a type of memory module.

It's a type of memory module "IC" made by samsung. They reach very high speeds with low timings while using low voltage. The Brainpower PCB "6 layer" enhances the overclockability. Most of the top companies use this combination for thier high quality ram.
