It's by far not the best. Great mouse yes, but not the best.

BUY THE LOGITECH G5 LASER MOUSE

Ive owned both the mx510 and 518 , And the mx518 doesnt hold a candle to this mouse . And i used the mx518 for many months so i got a good feel for the mouse . G5, Its expesive but its well worth the price

2000dpi with dpi changer for both x and y axis
500hz full speed usb 2 suport <- first mouse ive owned taht ran 500hz
http://tscherwitschke.de/mouseratechecker.html <-test your own bet its 128hz or whatever
teflon style mouse pads for feet
            textured rubber side grip
textured rubber cord so it doesnt curl easly
            custom weight set
lower profile then mx518 for less hand strain
you lose a side button but get a tilt wheel 2 new buttons, tilt kicks ass for reload
3 lights to tell u what Dpi your at

Just go buy the damn thing you wont regret it , perty much the best mouse out there :guns: :guns: :guns: :guns:

Actually, this was the first thread i made. But i put it in hardware because i didn't think this was the appropriet spot.

Also, thanks for the recomendations, both of the logitechs look very nice.

If you like more buttons (10 buttons to be precise) and the freedom of wireless, then get the MX1000.

It's on sale all over the place right now.
