Id like to upgrade my old MSI K8N Neo4-F. Im looking for a socket 939 motherboard and SLI so im covered for the future

Don't get dfi if you use non-branded or value ram. Don't get DFI if you're gonna buy a cheapo PSU. Don't get DFI if you're not gonna OC. Don't get DFI if you're not an enthusiast of any kind.

The big performance differences are not depending on the make of the mobo but the chipset.

do not bother getting a SIS board... they suck last I checked.

both those mobo look good.

Personally, I think your pc is good as is as long as your present PS is good quality like antec...

I run off a 300W with a 6600gt 2 hdds 1 cdrom 3000xp ... when i have been advised i would need at least 350W

ok my ram is value corsair stuff.

Well i ran a test with one of these plug metres and my comp draws underload 400watt so im thinking of going to 550 so if i buy a second 7800GTX its possible to put it in SLI

I think i might buy the ASUS !!! Seems the more forgiving!!!

Lanparty's problems are overrated. ValueSelect sometimes works and sometimes doesn't work. MOST of the time it works.

If you're overclocking, get the DFI Lanparty, simple as that.

If you aeren't overclocking (and even if you are), get the MSI K8N Neo-4 SLI. Its a lot more "forgiving" as you called it.

I wouldn't say that Flanker, DFI is very selective and you have to be very careful with what you buy. Especially when it comes to a 200 dollar mobo. Get the MSI or Asus. They are good as well and have good enough OC options aswell. If you don't have the recommended parts for a DFI, DONT GET IT...

The DFI is geared towards overclockers and enthusiasts. It's a great board if you know your way around a system. The asus is probably just as good, and most likely the best option if you're running value ram.
If you plan on going SLI in the future, look for no less than 500 watts and 20A or more on the +12v rail (or dual +12v rails, which I've found to be more and more common with higher-end power supplies). Something like that could last you two builds.

It's Asus newest SLI mobo that utilizes true x16PCIe in SLI rather than x8PCIe. Also has the heatpipe to keep the chipset cool and quiet vs. air-cooled.
