        ok one thing to check is your direct x
        open the run menu from the start type in dxdiag it will take a couple minute but go through the tests and confirm that the ver is 9.0c
        find out what chipset is onthe mother board and get the updates for that as well
        do your other games work fine?????
        run a test of the graphics card with like 3d mark or aquamark
        google these they are free downloads
