Alright well w00ty w00t got my 6600GT. Got everything running and I'll soon be getting BF2, but my card seems to run "hot" it's running at 120 degrees farenheit, the fan is spinning but it's not very cool. Oh what drivers and everything do I need and please tell me about the temperature thing.
Finally!

Re: Finally!
Yeah Celcius -- 51ish and under load low 60's. So I guess it's normal? Anywho can anyone tell me how to see what my drivers are and if
I need to upgrade?
This is my big concern however, when I was playing 1942 on highest settings I was only getting about 50fps my cousins 5200 will do about 30 - 40 in 1942 on highest settings. Is it because of my low end proccessor that I'm not getting as good of performance? I am getting a P4 3ghz with HT soon and that should run it fine. So will upgrading to the new proccesor help me?Comment

Re: Finally!
I noticed that the heat radiating off the card is getting sucked in by the proccessor and has heated it at least 15 degrees, what should I do? Get a new fan with a funnel or something? When I go to load up a video off the internet or something my computer totally freezes up and I can't view it.Comment

Re: Finally!
it's impossible for your cpu fan to suck the hot air from the card. The way the cpu's heatsink fan blows is outward. It doesn's suck air in, it blows air out. The hot air rises and gets sucked out by an exhaust fan.Comment

I would check your fans. The cpu fan blows air into the heatsink, and the heatsink is heated by the cpu. The air disperses the heat out of the heatsink.Comment

Re: Finally!
If your CPU fan blows up/out then it's on wrong. Why would you want to suck the hot air off the board up through the heatsink?Originally posted by toxikneedleit's impossible for your cpu fan to suck the hot air from the card. Re: Finally!
I got the idea of downloading the demo to see how my system performs and so far it's been good on one server the average fps was 15 and most of the time on other servers it's 25+ I maxed out at jsut over 75. In the 1942 demo it runs much choppier than the real game, so is this the same with te actual game meaning that my system would perform better in the real game?Comment
