    Updating BIOS

Help teh n00b...never done it before. Is it easy? Will it make me cry? Do I have to flash the BIOS to update it?

Asus A8V Deluxe Rev 2 S939 is what I has got!

It may solve the reboot problem I have been having for the past 3 months

    Got a floppy drive?

There should be step by step instructions on the ASUS website. I think they have a windows utility to flash bios... Can't remember. Otherwise flashing from a floppy drive is fairly painless.

Probbaly wouldn't work with an external one because the drivers for it arn't loading because windows doesn't boot.

Make sure you have a reliable floppy disk, because if it's screws up, your mobo will becomes useless.

Well I downloaded the Asus update util but thats not working, "cannot find the BIOs on the server" so looks like I will have to download that manually and then use the util to apply it.

                        Bloody technology.
