    Question about ram DDR and DDR2

    I doubt that DDR ram would work on a motherboard that supports DDR2....BUT would a Motherboard that supports DDR be able to handle DDR2 ram? Would the motherboard simply bring the DDR2 down to DDR?

          Not the pin count is differnt.

          184 = DDR

          240 = DDR2

            I think you're confused... Intel=CPU whereas DDR/DDR2=RAM

                Find your motherboard manufacturer and model and go to their website for what's required.

                Or Everest should be able to tell you all this. Google it.

                  If you don't know, you probably have DDR.
