O.K. lets say I buy an ATX case with appropiate power supply (about500watts).Does this case come with a motherboard.If I must transfer mine to the new case then I would have the same proprietary concerns.If it comes with a motherboard will all of my stuff (vid. card.sound card etc.) fit. I do have a pci express computer with 4 bays for ram. what am i getting into.Remember this is a first for me I have never done a transfer before, so any info. is appreciated.

just buy a prebuilt one from best buy.. i think you might be in over your head.
if you're still inclined to put one together yourself, google some info on putting a pc together from scratch. It'll be the same concept. good luck.
if you run into problems there are tech forums around the net that can help you.

If this is your very first build, definitely have someone with experience walk you through it.
Just FYI, PSU's that come with cases are generally landfill fodder.
