The MOBO will most likely have a proprietary PSU connector and you will most likely be SOL. -

i'd recommend just getting a brand new tower and PSU. you can get both for as much as a good PSU. just make sure you get a good case with a reliable psu.

Exactly. Looks like you're only bet is to get the PSU from Gateway. Other than that, it's best to just get a new mobo, psu, and atx case.Originally posted by lil_jimmy_nortonThe MOBO will most likely have a proprietary PSU connector and you will most likely be SOL.Comment

check with gateway to see if your PSU is proprietary

for starters dont ever waste your money on a dell/gateway/or alienware. Build your own. its easy as hell and its easier on your wallet. like they said you are probably SOL. I bad name gateway on a near daily basis since they screwed my dad over. charged him 100 dollars for a damn 56kmodem and 300 for a motherbaord. my asus k8v se deluxe mobo was only 118.......Comment

Re: what will fit (power supply)
thanks to all of you. i learned from a local computer repair shop that Gateway does not have any proprietary connectors. i was able to use an available after market psu he sold there.more watts aditional amps good quality with additional fan.works great..-------majsmt-----Comment
