Logitech vs Creative

Hey everyone,

I just purchased a Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro and the Creative ProGamer G500 speakers. They have a direct opponent the Logitech Z-5500 Digital speakers.

What do you guys think, have I made a mistake?

I chose this mainly because I've owned a Logitch keyboard, mouse, and 2 joysitcks which ALL broke on me......I just don't trust them.

creative is mostly sound so i would go with them but the logitech speakers are fine

I believe the Creative's do but I'm not sure (too lazy to look) lol...

IMO, I think they're both the same. I just like how logitechs' speakers look compared to creatives'. I own both brands and to me, the creatives sound a little more clear/crisp than my logitechs 5.1's.

There you have it..you can't go wrong with either one but the Creative's may have an edge.

I have avoided Creative because traditionally they cost more here and I HATE Creative's customer support.

Anyone have pics on their speaker setups (5.1,6.1,7.1)? I have creatives 7.1 and mounted them on the wall/ceiling. Will post some pics when I pick up my camera. Anyways I also have Logitech 5.1 but only use the fr.lt, fr.rt, center, and sub. The rear speakers I don't use cuz I don't want all the cable clutter. Anyone have all their speakers w/ the front speakers? If so, doesn't that defeat the purpose of "surround" sound? Any ideas on where to put the rears w/out all the clutter?

I will come tomorrow. I have one sitting on my bed right now, but its too late to install it for me. So its getting put in tomorrow. Along with my Z5000 speakers which fyi rule. I have the 5300 and they are okay, but the 5500 rock. I had the earlier model of the Z5500s and I loved it, but stupidly I sent them back.

Okay. Here is my review. Logitech Z5500s = best $235.00 I've ever spent. Just make sure you have lots of room, they are HUGE. The sub has to be atleast 2 feet from all electronics because of the huge ass magnet inside of it. The sounds awesome.

The X-fi was pretty easy to install. The only thing I didn't like was the ribbon cable. Come on Creative atleast give me a rounded cable! Especially since it goes from the bottom of the case to the top, it kinda blocks some air flow. Other then that, I love it. The sounds are more crisp and life-like. They have more depth and my "hear" distance is much further. I can hear EVERYTHING, its awesome. And the cool part is it will add in environmental sounds such as when people call for radio. If you're standing next to them you will hear it, and you will also hear it echo if you're in a hallway. Its really awesome. Apparently the same thing can be done with VoIP.
