    Really...bad...****....

It was explained to me that the new nVidia driver update was broken and that I should roll back my drivers to fix my mouse lag problem (Asus tech support line). Half way through the installation of the old drivers, the screen went black and when I tried to restart, I got one beep but nothing on the screen. Nothing at all, no POST messages or anything. I tried the following:
    • Re-settling the card (removing and putting back in)
    • Re-settling the RAM
    • Reseting the BIOS using jumpers
    • Using the other output on my video card (got nothing)

Lucky me the Asus A8N-E doesn't come with onboard video! Can anyone please help me with this I really need help and I'm hoping that people won't just ignore me so that this gets pushed down to the bottom like my thread with the original mouse problem.

Set the jumpers to reset CMOS, wait for about 10 minutes, then set them back and trying starting the computer.

EDIT: If the case in your sig picture is yours, I have the same one, but mine's black. :)

Is your case speaker connected, or does your mobo have an onboard speaker? Because if you hear beeps but don't see any video, then it is the card. If you don't have any post at all... then its not the vid card, it's the mobo.

Oh and heres a little something:

My monitor has a sleep mode to conserve power so that when it is not getting a signal it goes to sleep mode. Whenever I start up the computer, it goes out of sleep mode, so I'm tihnking that its getting a signal but just doenst know what to display.

If you made sure card is plugged in and should be working, the only thing I recommend is A) Trying it on another comp B) Trying another card in your comp. You just want to make sure the rest of your comp works before you send off the card to RMA and wait for it to come back only to find out something else was causing the problem.

well what i would suggest doing is removing the battery in the motherboard and leave ur comp on for like 10 minutes if all else fails then i would re-install windows.
