    What in the world are microSiemens per centimeter (µS/cm)?

    These are the units for electrical conductivity (EC). The sensor simply consists of two metal electrodes that are exactly 1.0 cm apart and protrude into

    the water. A constant voltage (V) is applied across the electrodes. An electrical current (I) flows through the water due to this voltage and is proportional

    to the concentration of dissolved ions in the water - the more ions, the more conductive the water resulting in a higher electrical current which is

    measured electronically. Distilled or deionized water has very few dissolved ions and so there is almost no current flow across the gap (low EC). As an

    aside, fisheries biologists who electroshock know that if the water is too soft (low EC) it is difficult to electroshock to stun fish for monitoring their

    abundance and distribution.

    Up until about the late 1970's the units of EC were micromhos per centimeter (µmhos/cm) after which they were changed to microSiemens/cm (1

    µS/cm = 1 µmho/cm). You will find both sets of units in the published scientific literature although their numerical values are identical. Interestingly, the

    unit "mhos" derives from the standard name for electrical resistance reflecting the inverse relationship between resistance and conductivity - the higher

    the resistance of the water, the lower its conductivity. This also follows from Ohm’s Law, V = I x R where R is the resistance of the centimeter of water.

    Since the electrical current flow (I) increases with increasing temperature, the EC values are automatically corrected to a standard value of 25°C and the values are then technically referred to as specific electrical conductivity.

    All Lake Access conductivity data are temperature compensated to 25°C (usually called specific EC). We do this because the ability of the water to

    conduct a current is very temperature dependent. We reference all EC readings to 25°C to eliminate temperature differences associated with seasons

    and depth. Therefore EC 25°C data reflect the dissolved ion content of the water (also routinely called the TDS or total dissolved salt concentration).

      Got the GPU block mounted, trimmed some hoses, added some intake fans and some other stuff. Here's the finished product.

              not too bad. i have the same case but with a different window. did u consider getting a kit that has a radiator that mounts on the rear of the case? They have pci slot covers that have holes cut in them to manage the tubes. it is much more manageable. looks 100% better since you trimmed the tubes and ****. Nice.

                  Is it the RAM that's holding you back for higher OC? Also, what radiator are you using?

                    No, it's the CPU. Using a Danger Den double heatercore.

                    not too bad. i have the same case but with a different window. did u consider getting a kit that has a radiator that mounts on the rear of the case?                     Most all the radiators actually designed for computer use don't match the performance of the heatercore I use. Plus the heatercore is much cheaper than the higher end comnputer radiators.

                      We have almost the same exact setup. I just have a TDX CPU block instead plus a reservoir. I had a T line at first but I didn't like it. I have a big ThermalTake Armor full size case with the radiator behind the case. My idle temps are around 31C and low 40s under load and that's the same for my X800. I have my 4400+ X2 at 250X11 @2.60V. I can run 255X11, but not boot from it and I always forget to load up ClockGen to change it. My 1M SuperPi is 30.4XX seconds, what's yours?

                        2.60v vcore? You mean 1.6v? My 4400 won't go stable over 230x11. One of my cores is stable but the other gets errors from Prime95 from the start, so I think one has more headroom but the other doesn't. Those are nice temps aswell, on my single 120 rad, I'm keeping 37 idle/45 load and about same for gpu.

                          Yes I meant 1.60V, sorry for the typo. I've hit 270X11 and got a 1M SuperPi time of 29.812 but it would immediately crash with Prime95. What is your vcore? We have the same exact memory so that is definitely not holding you back. If you haven't had the cpu that long, you could try and RMA it and hope for a better one.

                            Well I'm at 1.53v atm. I'm gonna give 240x11 @ 1.6 a shot tonight. I don't really wanna do anything over 250 anyways, plus from what I checked my crucials aren't such good overclockers as others have, I heard many complaints for the 2gb kit and some got 1 stick that works and second that can't be stable at rated speeds at all... so I dunno what the hell is going on down there.

                            I'm also way beyond average for 4400, most get speeds between 2200-2400 at most. Remember a lot of this is about luck, and I'm fine with just settleing with whatever I get (as long as it works at rated speeds). Plus 2.5 is over 4800 speeds which is what I aimed for, trying to save money buying a 4400 instead of a 4800.

                              If one of your sticks isn't stable at 250MHz which it's rated for, RMA both because you have a faulty stick. 2.5 is nice, but 2.8 is even nicer.
