    Re: 6600gt . . .

    I've got a P4 3.0GHz, 1GB RAM and a 6600GT 256MB.

I've got textures, texture filtering, terrain and geometry on high and everything else on medium with 2xAA. I get around 40-60fps usually. If you put everything on high the framerate becomes quite unstable.

I could see lots of high settings in your case because of the ram and proccessor.

            Re: 6600gt . . .

Until recently I had a Gigabyte 6600GT 128 AGP (@525/1150) and ran BF2 at the settings below, with frame rates averaging 40-90 fps.

            1280x960x85hz
            Terrain - Med
            Effects - Med
            Geometry - High
            Texture - Med
            Lighting - Med
            Dynamic Shadows - Off
            Dynamic Light - Low
            AA - x2
            Texture Filtering - Medium

If you get the 256mb version, you should be able to run with textures high.
The settings above are personal preference. I prefered a higher resolution, and smooth outlines over some other features. If you run at 1024x768, and don't mind occasional lower frame rates that 40-90, you can turn some settings up, and/or turn shadows on.
The 6600GT is a good card for the price, and will run other games like Half Life 2 on all high settings and newer, graphically intensive offerings like F.E.A.R on average medium.
