Memory Prob - Noob question!!

Have just upgraded to another 1Gb of PC3200 TwinMos Ram and suffered CTD's system spec is below;

P4 3.2ghz
XP Pro
Asus P4S800D Mobo
6800 Ultra 256Mb
2gb PC3200 TwinMos (4 X 512Mb) Two different models 1 X Dual Channel Kit
BF2 patched to 1.03

System used to run ok with 1Gb but didnt expect it to CTD when the second 1Gb was installed. I have already ran memtest86 and 1gb doesnt fail using either of the sets of 2 X 512Mb, but when I add the other pair it causes a number of failures.

Any ideas on what I should do to eliminate the problem??

My guess is there is a conflict between the sets of memory. You can contact the RAM manufacture and see if they will RMA and exchange you for a dual channel set with the same revision number as your current memory. I know Corsair will do that (they did it for me).

Cheers dude, have just ordered 2 X 1gb PC3200 will eBay the other 2Gb.
