Ive come across this topic searching for a new card. The number of people misreading things is unbelievable. The topic says x700 v 9600, not GT versions. I just read a review that says the x700 is better than the 9600, only by a bit, but better.Comment

I have found a place where the x700 pro is £30 ($60) cheaper than the GT. Its more a case of 6600 plain vs x700 pro and I would imagine in that case the x700 would be betterComment

I have the x700 Pro 256mb. Regardless what everyone it runs battlefield fine, specially on high. I've had no problems with it whatsoever. Personally I'm a Ati fan but Imo its a fine, no problem with it. I know it's not the highest range card but for Bf2, it's more than fine.
The 6600 Gt is better, but just so you know the x700 is more than enough to play Bf2.Comment
