I'm buying a new comp just wondering what you would change if you could. I don't have too much money left so don't say 2x7800GTX's or anything :P

Id get
another 200GB hard disk and go fro RAID 0 too. That will speed up loading times alot. RAM is also always good :) oh and you could junk XP in favou for Win2k :) that would loose some flab

400W is on the lowish side...

I would go for something over 450W.

Could you give us a link to what it is? Cause Wattage is probably one of the less important things to look for in a PSU.

My computer is very similar to yours, and believe me 400w is not enough. I just ordered a new 520w PSU. The 6800GT requires 350w alone, so when you have everything going full tilt, 400w just doesn't leave any breathing room. I get constant pausing and flickering in all games, even though they run perfectly on all high settings otherwise.

I also ordered another gig of RAM, so I suggest you go the same route as I just did :)

I don't know what it is yet because this guy is building it for me I told him the basic specs and he will give me a list of everything and i'll just say what to change ect.

make sure you have a good PSU the 6800's are very power hungry.
