        Re: Alienware

Alienware comes most of the time with AMD power in it.

And, do not buy crap like Alienware, they are way to expensive, put your PC togheter yourself, with the parts you want, it will be a lot cheaper then Alienware and have the same power or even faster

How is it not the right thread if he created it himself? But yeah, AMD and Alienware = no correlation. And yeah number two, don't waste your hard-earned $$

On a related note, I drive a Mitsubishi, but most of my friends have Bausch spark plugs.

                  2. You can build one yourself with the same parts and cheaper as well.

Thats no problem, most major computer stores will let you pick out everything you need and they will put it together for you. Of course there is going to be fee for that. Usally $75.00 - $125.00. Alenware, your just paying for there name, like everyone says they are WAY over priced.

true, alienware are a subsidiary of DELL if im not mistaken, to which dell's track record of customer care leaves a stink in its wake (its poor very poor).

the best you can achieve is to build your own, satisfaction of seing that baby light up an open its eyes plus the extra bonus of it not having to get the extra mortgage to pay for the beast.

ive built the last 2 pc's and saved a stack from it (HND Electronic Engineering and have loved to Break/Fix electronics since i was a lad). If your not into electronics or farting around with expensive parts then you may wish for a small pc shop to build you one which is still cheaper than an alienware pc.

the balls in your court m8 just weigh your options and shop around before you buy you'll be fine but if i were in your shoes i'd stay away from the pc giants and fill a handcrafted pc with all the goodies that nvidia and AMD have to offer.

                              Latest pc i built was..........

                              2400+ Athlon (2Ghz)
                              2Gb RAM
                              6800GT VPU
                              550W PSU
                              120Gb HDD
Nforce 2 Motherboard (cant remember the name)

the dent in my pocket was substantial but has been done over a period of time.

EDIT: since now the only thing bottlenecking is the processor that will be next on my list for an overhaul, so if like me you dont have a money tree growing in your garden then check your motherboard online and see whats the maximum you can upgrade to and see if its worth keeping to upgrade instead of going for the latest and greatest.
