Hahaha... It makes the sound better if they have long and complex names.

        It's just an X800GT Talus :p
HIS, like other manufacturers like sticking pointless names to them and confuse the public.
Big2firzX, yes that card will do fine.

          Re: Is this worth it?

And what does a GT mean when it's an ATI card again?

Man..I HATE it when both companies (ATI and NVIDIA) use each others' prefixes and suffices for graphics cards...

          ATI - XT = good
          NVIDIA - XT = bad

          NVIDIA - GT = good
          ATI - GT = bad?

The X800GT is a direct competitor to the NVidia 6600GT, it is slightly better and slightly cheaper overall.

so basically an X800GT is WORSE than an X800?

or am I getting this wrong..

What does an X800 compete with on the nVidia side? I thought it competed with the 6800GT/Ultra

                x800gt - 6600gt
                x800 - 6800
                x800pro/XL - 6800GT
                x800XT - 6800ultra
x850/pro/xt - kind of inbetween the 6800 ultra and the 7800

This page is helpful if you want all the technical stuff, I've used it for a long time.: http://www.neeyik.info/3dspecs/

Ohh.. Great and Thanks Pirate... But one last question, Will my CPU be having a high temperature after X800GT is installed???

                            Here mine Current Comp Spec:
                            ATI X300 128MB (upgrading)
                            512MB of Ram (upgrading)
                            P4 3.0GHZ

                            Mine Upgrade Comp :
                            ATI X800GT 256MB
                            2gig Of Ram
                            P4 3.0GHZ

                            Worth it?

Should not be any issues as long as you take the obvious precautions and keep things clean and dust free.
