Need Hardware Wizard help

Ok I has a SB GamersX 5.1 sound card been have'n trouble with the drivers . So I try'd uninstalling so as to do a fresh clean install. The problem is with the New Hardware wizard it keeps on AUTOMATICALY reinstalling the drivers after reboot. I have removed the card from the machine run Drivercleaner but still when the card is install'd at bootup Hardware Wizard atuo installs drivers without any options to do otherwise.

How can I force the Hardware Wizard not to auto install...... anybody?

I believe the "ReadMe" file in DriverCleaner has instructions for this exact scenario. I'm not at my home PC, but I'll check when I get there.
