1536mb virtual ram...

I heard somewhere that you virtual RAM shuld be 1.5 x you RAM so as you have 2 Gig, you VRAM should be 3072 MB.. That gives the quickest start up/shutdown/restart.. if i remember corretly... So that should be something you shold change anyway, just for better performance...

I only have 1gb as 2 512 sticks lol. It seems to be working ok at the mo, i'll check back if it buggers up again. Thx for the help all

beeps tell you 2 things, some beeps mean everything is fine, others mean u have a problem.

If ONLY games cause your problem and the likelihood you misinstalled all ur games is minimal then I would sumise that ur problem is Ram or video card.

Could be going bad or set to high for your processor.

it is not the RAM or video card if it worked b4! The problem was things were changed when he reformated and he needed to reset his CMOS to clear all the mess up. That would be a good guess if he hadnt ever played it b4

Yup looks like that fixed his problem. :)

It seems to be working ok at the moment, i'll check back if it buggers up again. Thx for the help all

Ok guys bad news the problem has returned. Plz help me sort this as it is ****ing me off. What should my bios settings look like?

Ok here is what I was hopeing you would not have to do. It aint that hard thought. you are going to have to look up your RAM settings for your sticks and make sure that they match what is in your BIOS. To set the setings in your Bios manually you are going to have to look it up since each mobo has different ways to do it. Or id be able to say do this and then do this, but I cant. Try that casue what it sounds like is RAM instablity, but the thing is they worked b4 you formated! SO you could have a bad sector, but then you say it is only when you play games. because the answers you have givin me on your troubleshooting, I think it is the RAM and the settings.

Ive checked and all my ram settings in the bios are as they should be. Is there anyway to test the memory itself at all?
