Ok, I am running on kind of a budget, so I want to keep considerably under $900. Here is what I am thinking of buying...

A couple questions

I also have the option of choosing a 3500+ processor; would there be a significant differance in performance from the 3200+?

Will I be able to rum settings on high or medium on a 64 player server with this confuguration?

Any feedback will be greatly apreciated.

your 6600GT and 1Gig of ram will hold you back slightly from having everything on high.

Almost everyone will recommend 2Gb of ram as it does make a difference.

True he won't be able to run everything on high but for a budget system it's not bad. As for your processors you may not see a big difference between one or the other. What you may wan't to consider is the 3200 is that you can overclock it. Although I don't know if you can overclock a pci-e card.

Probably decent fps, not amazing but not too low. I'd say a range of 25-50 ish. The 128MB video card and 1GB ram are holding you back for sure. See if you can get a 256MB version instead.

Are you building the computer? Or is it to be ordered pre-built, cause i got my computer built by myself with these specs:
Mobo: MSI K8n Neo-4f
CPU: Venice 3200+
Memory: 1gig of corsair valueselect
HD: Seagate 250gb SATA150
Vid Card:X800XL
Optical drive: SOny DRU-720 DVD-Rw
Case: SOme weird case with a 450w psu (later replaced psu and the case, but that's because i wanted to, you could probably make it with that case)
The rest is all recycled (floppy, speakers, monitor, keyboard etc.)

All that for about 920 bucks. WHich is looking much better than what yu got. I say this, you CAN skimp on the procesor to a 3000+ as BF2 doesn't really care much about CPU, you could also skimp on mobo, you could get a decent nforce 4 s939 mobo for about 80 bucks. ANd you could just use integrated sound as 24bit live is very little better than integrated, if you're gettin sound, at least get an audigy 2 value.

By switching to a 3000+ cpu and the same motherboard as you have, I will be able to get a 256MB X800 GT vid card.
Is this any better?

Please confirm and adjust your memory setting in the BIOS accordingly for better system stability."
What exactly does this mean?
Have you had any problems with this motherboard?
Is it reliable?

Well, as far as I know, it means that if you have all four ram slots filled, the max speed will be ddr333, not ddr400.
