If you're already running dual channel with your current RAM, then you'll need to get another set(2x512, 2x512, 2x1024). I don't think it lets you use 3 sticks if the first two are already dual channel. -

Correct, it would exit dual channel mode and probably adversely affect performance. Get another 2x512 and you'll be set. I recently made the jump myself, and I must say, its very nice.Comment

Yea, dual channel only runs if you have an even number of sticks.. eg 2x512, 4x512, 2x1024, 4x1024.. etc etc... So if you can, save up and get 2 more sticks...Comment

They are right. Plus for BF2 it is best if you had 2gigs of RAM anyways so that you dont have to reserve any memory form your HD. Youll notice a huge difference if you have 2gig.Comment

Yea def... 2 gigs all the way... people say.. "but BF2 only needs 1 gig" yes true.. but you background apps and OS need RAM too.. so 2 gigs give you enough space for all these, with some left to spare
