Would it be the Harddrive or Motherboard?

I have P4 2.8ghz HT CPU, 1gb corsair PC2700 XMS ram, eVGA Geforce 6800 GT agp 8x, one Western Digital 10k rpm Raptor 35gb drive, and a MSI 865pe Neo motherboard.

I have been going crazy trying to figure out what the problem is. I can get the game to load up fine. When I go to join a multiplayer game or even create my own local game it gets to the load screen then crashes with no errors. I know its not the video card because I had a 6600 GT last week and it did the same thing. I tried new RAM in it and still crashes. Turned off the hyper-threading on my CPU and that didnt help. What are the chances it is my harddrive? What are the chances it is my motherboard?

I don't have a iomega drive, I do have latest video drivers and the 1.03 game patch. I ran some WD lifeguard program on my harddrive and it passed saying nothing was wrong.

All this trouble for one game is starting to get really stupid. Could you some help please.

I wonder if you have enough free space on your HD for the game files once they are uncompressed? If you are running low or if Windows thinks you are running low on space, it will terminate the offending applicatiation. There will only be an error message if one was coded into the offending program.

have your checked your computers event log? (right click on my computer > manage > event viewer)
