Hey openheimer, what kind of radiator did you have to begin with. I'm going to be running a 3 block system with 1 120mm copper rad and I'm hoping I won't need another. I'm not looking for my temps too be too cold, but at least same as the stock air temps.

With 3 blobks you will need more than a 120mm rad. I would suggest the Double Heater Core that Danger Den sells. Especially if your rad is one that was specially made for water cooling, those generally suck and are a waste.

This is what I used, You can see it in the pic in my sig. I used internal rads before but I found this external 66fin rad to cool nicely.

Pre-built kits are very good nowadays so no reason to dis them.

BTW Non-electrical conductive fluid is very - very expensive. About $80 per litre.

If youd don't replace water/liquids every 4 months then maybe, or if your pet goldfish get stuck in one of the valves...

But no, tit does not smell, if it does you either are doing somthing really wrong, or its not the watercooling it's something elese in the room.

I've had a liquid cooled (Water), for 7 or 8 years. I've overclocked all sorts of things and some all at the same time, with no heating problems. The only real big pain in the butt is working on them. Its not like just jerking a video card out and putting another one in if something goes wrong with it. But, you get used to it. With todays advances in normal cooling, water cooled is not all that necessary. But, its still coooooooool!

Yes, watercooling is very good for overclocking, because you can still have fans in ya PC.
I use watercooling on my gaming rig.

Pre-built kits are very good nowadays so no reason to dis them.

There are decent kits out there but most of them yeild the same results as high end air-cooling. There are plenty of reasons ti dis something you spend $200+ on that preforms no better than a good heatsink and fan.

Okay, on my way to the money tree to do someharvesting I came up with 2 questions. I have a AMD64 2800+. The specs say on this brand-x cpu cooler it will do amd k7 and k8. Others say k8(AMD64). Does this mean if it says k8 it will also work on amd64? My other queston is...If I use a VGA cooler, do I need to worry about buying another cooler for my vga ram?

I know a lot of people who use water cooling to eliminate noise and still keep their system cool. Remember a 120mm fan can be much quieter than a 80mm fan on ur heatsink or whatever. Anyways, very few kits are 200 and don't perform better than a heatsink. The kit I got was 185 and i got it for 155. It had all the parts I was gonna buy anyways, minus a few that I added myself. In end I looked up all the parts seperately and it came out to a little more than what I paid.
