    x1600 Pro or 6800

I am going to get a new video card, and i just read that the x1600Pro will be priced under $200. Currently i am looking at a 6800 (vanilla),but if suddenly ATI comes out with somthing just as cheap, but better, i would be ****ed. So, three questions: 1. Will the 1000 family come in AGP?
    2. Will the cards really be priced this low?
    3. Is Nvidia going to come out with a cheaper 7 series (AGP too)?

No, X1XXXX series cards as far as I know, will not support AGP interface anymore.

Yes, some of the cards maybe priced that low, however because they are not even in production yet, no one can give a final number. I would say around that mark would be a good estimate.

Yes, Nvidia will be releasing other 7XXX series cards, however I am not sure of the release dates at this time.

u think i should just go with the 6800 AGP then? I kinda doubt that any more next gen cards are gonna be agp

If you can afford it, get the GT version.

Do you think that the prices will go down (rit now the GTs are still a bit too much)

According to ATI they are available now. However, I have yet to find a place that has them in-stock.

I see no reason as to why the 6 series cards like the GT/Ultras should not drop right now since a lot of people are moving to the 7 series and X1000 cards. NVidia and ATI will still have a pile of old GPU's to shift.
I got a 6800GT and it's still got plenty of horsepower to run BF2 at high settings.

sad to say, X1xxx's are PCI-E only and the way its looking, they wont go AGP =/

A 6600GT, 6800NU, or 6800GT AGP editions might serve you well, the lower card if you just want something to hold over til PCI-E, the higher end if you want the system to last as long as possible...

x1600 pro will be avaliable in november

save for the x1600xt its like a double the clockspeeds of the pro

If the GT is a bit out of your price range, go for the X800 XL. They make an agp version, and its the ATI equivalent of a 6800 GT.
