I doubt that the leadtek's cooling is that much better than evga's, they are both cheap. They both have the same clock speed, so they will run the game equally good. I'd say you should go with the evga because they have lifetime warranty.

Dont even bother with the PCI-E version of the 6800, go for the 6600GT or 6800GT if you can afford. The PCI-E version clocks its ram at 600Mhz and it serverely kills performance. My old AGP 6800's ram was clocked at 750Mhz and was way faster.

Defo go for the 6600GT instead as you will find it either performs the same or out performs the PCI-E 6800.

Just checked on Toms Hardware and found the PCI-E 6800 is barely faster than the basic 6600.

I have a 6800GT, however, I also have friends with 6800LE's which are more than upto BF2.

I'd consider the lower spec 6800LE and budget for the cheapest stick of 1GB RAM you can find, matched, ideally to your existing RAM....

BF2 benefits far more from 2GB RAM than it does from a higher end 6800series.

I have an eVGA 6800GT and I'm very happy with it.

Acctually the 6800LEs aren't that much cheaper, and they are a LOT worse than the 6600GT. That is unless you get lucky and unlock it , but there are very low chances of that (lower than everyone on newegg says, trust me on this one).

2gigs is probally a good idea tho

                      http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatal...orce_6800.html - £83 6800LE

                      http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatal...e_6800_GT.html - Cheapest 6800GT I can see is near £200!

£200 is more than enough for said 6800LE & 2GB RAM, sure, if funds permit, go for a 6800GT or better, if funds are tight, the LE & 2GB RAM would be my objective.

all i was trying to say was that stock settings the 6600 GT is better than the 6800 LE. Everyone wants 2gigs!
