ok my brother was just playing bf2 and the cd drive worked fine. 2 hrs later I go on and the cd drive wont read anything, I put the disc in and close it then a green light flashes under near at a steady past blink blink blink blink blink blink blink it goes on for while and then stops. I try to play bf2 and it says there no disc. So I go to start, run, browse and try to find the D drive and its not there. So I then went to hardware manager and right clicked on the CD-Drive then I clicked properties and it says its running fine. should I go out and buy a new one?? PLzz help I need to play bf2!!

Go into Device Manager and remove the hardware, reboot and let Windows find it again.Comment

Well ask ur brother did he do anything to it or did something happen, 1 rule dont let sister of friends on ur pc UNLESS your watching over them it can all go terribly wroung.
If its a old drive then you might aswel buy a new one. i bought mine for £50 DVD writer as well and is amaizing!!!Comment
