    6200 overclock issue.. any help?

    first, my specs

    Intel P4 2.6mhz
    1024mb pc3200
geforce FX 6200 256mb (NOT turbo caché, thank god oh and i finally get rid of my good old fx 5200 :P)

but i have one problem, the first think i did was overclock it!!! i use the coolbits register thing so i can get the overclock options on the Nvidia Display, so i got 3 options,

so, as u can see im using the auto overclocking option, because when i use Manual overclocking and then detect optimal settings then apply those settings, my CPU processing percent goes up to 60% and the pc gets reaaaaaaaaaaaaally slow!!! :| so i was wondering, why is this happening??? and when i mean really slow i mean on Windows desktop, not running any software or anything and its really annoying because i could overclock my fx5200 without any problem at all!!! so, why is this happening and how can i fix it???

ooo..nice background you got there:) ...
Anyway execute task manager (ctrl+alt+del) and remove any unnecessary background programs, such as anti-virus software.
If that doesnt work remove your background since it looks kinda busy. I've never encountered this problem before so i dunno. Im just giving you some tips on how to reduce CPU and memory usage. Also what drivers are you using because mine doesnt have that auto overclock option..

EDIT: it does take some time to overclock your graphics card. If you choose "detect optimal frequencies" it will take some time..maybe 10-20secs. Anyway if you manually overclock, then click on the "test changes" button and it'll check if the overclock is safe or not. The process takes a couple of seconds..
