I didn't know they had 128mb versions of the 7800GT. Wouldn't make too much sense for them to do that...

7800GT only comes in a 256mb version, so get it. Either from xfx or a bgf one.

Yeah XFX is making a name for themselves with the 78 series, they clock their cards higher than the others, with the exception of BFG...but my 7800 GTX has higher clocks than the BFG 78GTX.

XFX are a Chinese manufacturer gaining a lot of respect and publicity lately, almost all of their products are clocked higher than the reference defaults with good cooling solutions. Their warranties/returns policy is supposed to be very good too.

I have my major system upgrade in the fedex system right now from newegg.

I went for the XFX 7800GT, which IS faster than the BFG or any others out of the box (350MHZ core clock).

Along with that I picked up a Athlon64 3700+ San Diego (with that sweet 1MB L2 Cache), 2 gigs of OCZ platinum (DDR400 @ 2-3-2-5), the DFI NF4 Ultra-D, an Antec 500W PSU, Maxtor DiamondMax 10 250GB Serial ATA, and what's great video without great sound? I got the Creative X-Fi. Newegg had em on sale and I'm sick of onboard sound :p

                  BF2 ultra-high settings here I come!

With those parts, you won't be disappointed. BF2 ultra is very pretty.

If you're talking about the Series 7 cards, I think XFX uses stock heatsinks on all of their cards. I'd get the XFX cuz they have a nice double lifetime warranty..... which I think they're the only ones that have that.
