    Need Help with Wireless Networking

I have a wireless network set up on this PC. How do I connect my laptop to this network? It was connected before but I reformatted and don't know what to do now. Thanks.

Just run the Windows Network Setup Wizard.

Windows XP Pro SP2 has that ability. I don't think the Home version does. What version of the OS are you running?

Also, there are other programs you can use to make the connection besides MS.

My laptop has Win Xp pack 1. I think I got it. I kept putting in the passphrase instead of the actual network ecnrypted key to make the connection and thats why it kept giving me error.

Is there any way to check if my wireless network is secure now?

You can check in the Routers or Host PCs Setup to ensure WEP is enabled on both the client and host/router.

I like to use a MAC address filter as well

SP2 has the option. I have Home SP2 on my laptop and mine automatically set itself up.
