Response Time

I'm looking to upgrade to a new monitor soon and was wondering how important response time is. Basically will I notice any difference between a monitor with 8ms response time and a monitor with a 16ms response time. The three monitors I'm looking at are:

Also I heard some people say that LCD's are dropping dramatically in price so would it be a better idea for me to wait till after christmas to buy it?

Well, all I know is that a lcd monitor with a response rate higher than 16ms will show smearing when doing anything with alot of activity on the screen (such as games, movies, etc). So I'd go for the 8ms one.

That's what I thought. It seems like a better monitor overall then the others. Cheaper too:)
