Ok so it's final, I'm going to try to get the 4000. I just received my 300, but 12 dollars were taken away from paypal...so I have 288. I gotta get my mom to give me an extra 80 for the 4000 :hmm:

by waiting that bit longer it will turn out alot better in the long run you wont need to upgrade as soon as you have a 4000

AMD Athlon 64 3700 San Diego

AMD Athlon 64 4000 San Diego (need about 60 more dollars from my mommy :))

2 GB (2x 1GB) OCZ High Performance Platinum Series

          Which of the three?
Wait, so your "Mommy" buys you this stuff, and you upgrade your 6800 to spend another few hundred getting a 7800GTX? wish I was that spoilt/rich. I am only 15 and I had to study my ass off for my first semester year 11 exams to get high grades, even then I only got the specs in my sig and had to reasearch it all and put it together myself.

Get used to it. It's a fact of life that some kids grow up spoiled. Nothing you can do about it, so there is no point stressing over it. When your older though you will see that those spoiled kids grow up to be useless, and don't know how to do anything for themselves because they've been handed everything in life....

I'm not saying that the original poster is spoiled though...

I'm 15 also...I just get good grades so my parents buy me alot of stuff. I bought my own GTX...but they bought me the Ultra, along with the rest of my system about 2 months ago.

Ok, my mom let me have 80 extra dollars and I ordered the 4000. I got free 2-day shipping from zipzoomfly.com so it should be here some time next week...probably on or before Thursday. I'll let you all know if CPU actually does make a difference in BF2, regardless of what benchmarks say

Look at some benchmarks man, the 3200+ makes at at most 5fps difference from a 4000+, video card matters much more for BF2. BF2 don't care about the CPU, but newer games like FEAR will, so it'll help, just don't expect more fps in BF2.

I don't believe those benchmarks, but we will see. If processor doesn't matter, what else could be the reason I'm not getting good FPS in Bf2?

Well, i dunno, i think you're the one that posted those benchmarks anyways, but oh well. Anyways, it possibly could be that you're running fraps, or maybe some new memory (better memory like XMS, OCZ, Ballistix etc.) will help.

Brand of memory won't make a diffrence.

Well I have value ram, but my next upgrade will be OCZ Platinum with pretty good timings. And plus, my value ram is mismatched timings, so its running at 166 mhz.

And whoever said they dont feel sorry for me...why would you feel sorry for me?

That's not what your sig says.
